Version 1, effective Oct 9, 2026
These Booking, Payment & Facility Terms ("Booking Terms") apply to every court reservation at Duelo Battleground (the "Venue"), located at Lot 18 Block 20 J. De Veyra Street, Carreta NRA, Cebu City, Cebu 6000, operated by Apex Sports, Inc. ("Duelo", "we", "us"). They apply whether you book online through our website or app, by phone, or in person at the front desk.
You accept these Booking Terms when you create an account, and again each time you make a booking. The version you accept when you make a booking is the version that applies to that booking. Please read the section "No refunds" carefully: payments are final, and a booking can be rescheduled or transferred, but not refunded.
These Booking Terms are part of our Terms of Service. How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
1. Summary of the key points
This summary is for convenience; the full sections below govern.
Every payment is final. We do not refund a booking because of a change of plans, a no-show, lateness, or bad weather that does not close the Venue.
You can reschedule a booking through our front desk at least 72 hours before it starts, subject to availability (section 8).
You can let someone else use your booking by giving them your QR pass (section 9). You stay responsible for that booking.
If we cancel because of maintenance, a power interruption, unsafe conditions or a closure, you choose between a free reschedule and credit for a future booking equal to the amount you paid for the affected session (section 11).
Duplicate or mistaken charges are always returned in full (section 7.4).
Your session ends at its scheduled time, even if you arrive late (section 10).
Online payments must be completed within 5 minutes of creating the booking, or the booking is cancelled automatically and the court is released (section 6.3).
Badminton carries a risk of injury. You play at your own risk, as described in section 15.
2. Who can book
Online bookings require a Duelo account with a verified email address. Your account must be in good standing (see the Terms of Service).
You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account and make a booking. A player under 12 must be accompanied at the Venue by a parent, guardian or responsible adult, who accepts these Booking Terms on the player's behalf.
The person who makes the booking (the "Booker") accepts these Booking Terms for themselves and for every person who plays or attends under that booking (their "Group"), and confirms they have told their Group about these terms — in particular the court rules (section 13) and the assumption of risk (section 15).
Front-desk (walk-in and phone) bookings may also be made for guests without an account; the front-desk staff will make you aware of these Booking Terms before completing your booking.
3. How a booking works
3.1 Courts and time slots
The Venue has five courts — Court D, U, E, L and O. Courts are booked in one-hour slots, during the opening hours shown on the booking page. Opening hours can differ by day and may change; the booking page always shows the current hours.
The Venue may be closed on specific dates (for example holidays or private events), and an individual court may be unavailable for maintenance. Closed dates and unavailable courts cannot be booked; the booking page tells you when a whole date is closed.
The booking page shows the dates you can book.
3.2 One booking, several courts and times
One booking can include several courts, and several separate times on the same court — for example Court D from 7–9 AM and again from 3–4 PM, plus Court U from 4–6 PM.
Each continuous block of hours on one court is a session. Each session has its own booking reference and its own QR pass, but the whole booking is paid in one checkout and carries one booking fee.
The system limits how many courts and sessions one booking can include; if you exceed the limit you will be told before you pay.
A booking is created all at once or not at all: if any one of the hours you picked is no longer available when you confirm, nothing is booked and you can adjust your selection.
3.3 When a booking is confirmed
A booking is confirmed only once payment is received (or, for a front-desk booking, once the front desk confirms it). Until then it is a temporary hold. You will receive a confirmation by email, and the booking appears in Battle Records in your profile.
4. Prices
Prices are set by the Venue and calculated by our system at the moment you book. The price shown in your booking summary before you pay is the price you pay.
The Venue has a regular hourly rate. An approved (active) trainer account may be charged a trainer rate for hours before the daily trainer cut-off time; hours after the cut-off are charged at the regular rate. The rate that applies to each hour is shown before you pay.
If a price changes between the moment you select your hours and the moment you pay (for example because the Venue updated its rates), we show you both the old and the new total and ask you to confirm again. You are never charged an amount you were not shown.
Prices include all applicable taxes, including 12% VAT.
A price change does not affect a booking that has already been paid, except when a booking is rescheduled (section 8.3).
5. Online booking fee
Every online booking carries a single booking fee. It is charged once per booking, however many courts, sessions or hours the booking includes, and the amount is shown as its own line in your booking summary before you pay.
The booking fee covers the cost of online booking and payment processing. Like the rest of the payment, it is not refundable (section 7), and it is not charged again when a booking is rescheduled.
Bookings made at the front desk carry no booking fee.
The Venue may change the booking fee amount or turn it off. A change applies only to bookings made after it; it never changes what an existing booking was charged.
6. Payment
6.1 Paying online
Online bookings are paid through PayMongo, a licensed third-party payment provider, on PayMongo's own secure checkout page. The payment methods offered there (for example credit and debit cards, GCash, Maya and QR Ph) are those enabled by the Venue and may change.
We never see or store your card number or e-wallet credentials. They are entered directly on PayMongo's page and handled under PayMongo's own terms and privacy policy.
A booking is paid when PayMongo confirms the payment to us. For some methods — for example QR Ph paid from your banking app — this can happen a short time after you leave the checkout page. Your booking updates automatically once the payment is confirmed.
6.2 Paying at the front desk
At the front desk we accept cash, GCash, Maya, credit and debit cards, and bank transfer. The front desk may allow a booking to be reserved and paid later at the counter; such a booking must be paid in full before play.
6.3 The 5-minute payment window
When you confirm an online booking, the courts are held for you for 5 minutes. You must complete payment within that window.
If payment is not completed in time, the booking is cancelled automatically, the checkout page is closed, and the courts are released for others to book. Nothing is charged. You can make a new booking if the hours are still available.
PayMongo's checkout page may show its own longer countdown (for example for a QR code). Our 5-minute window is the one that applies; a payment cannot be completed once it has ended.
A failed or declined payment attempt does not cancel the booking by itself — you may try again until the 5-minute window ends.
If an unpaid booking is still open in Battle Records, the Complete payment button lets you pay it while it is still payable. A booking can no longer be paid once its window has ended or its courts are no longer available.
6.4 Receipts
The confirmation email is your proof of payment. An official receipt is available at the front desk on request.
7. No refunds
7.1 The rule
All payments are final and non-refundable, including the booking fee. Instead of a refund, you may reschedule your booking (section 8) or let someone else use it (section 9).
7.2 What this means in common situations
You cancel or change your mind — at any time before the booking: no refund. If you contact us at least 72 hours before the start, you can reschedule instead (section 8). You may also ask us to cancel the booking so the court can be offered to others, but no refund is given.
You ask to change less than 72 hours before the start: the booking cannot be refunded or rescheduled. You can still let someone else use it (section 9).
You do not show up (no-show): no refund and no reschedule (section 10.3).
You arrive late: no refund and no extension; your session ends at its scheduled time (section 10.1).
You leave early, or not all of your Group arrives: no partial refund.
Rain, traffic or other personal circumstances, while the Venue stays open: no refund. Where the Venue itself closes, section 11 applies.
You booked the wrong date, time or court: no refund. Contact us as soon as possible — a reschedule is usually possible if you are at least 72 hours before the start.
You are removed from the Venue for breaking the court rules (section 14): no refund.
The Venue cancels or cannot provide your court: you are entitled to a free reschedule or credit for a future booking equal to the amount you paid for the affected session (section 11).
You were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or paid after your booking had already been cancelled: the extra or mistaken amount is returned in full (section 7.4).
7.3 Discounts and promotions
Discounts are granted at the Venue's discretion (for example at the front desk). Unless stated otherwise when they are offered, a discount applies only to the booking it was given for, has no cash value, cannot be exchanged or combined with another offer, and is not refundable. If a discounted booking is rescheduled, the discount carries over only if the front desk agrees.
7.4 Payment errors — the exceptions
We return money we should not have received:
a duplicate charge for the same booking;
a charge for an amount different from the total you were shown and confirmed;
a payment that reached us after your booking had already been cancelled (for example after the 5-minute window ended and the court was released).
Report a payment error to us at [email protected] or +63 917 888 9603 with your booking reference. Once verified, the amount is returned by GCash or bank transfer to an account in your name within 3 business days. Your payment provider or bank may take additional time to show the returned amount. We do not charge you a fee for returning a payment error.
These exceptions, and the venue-cancellation remedies in section 11, do not limit any right you have under Philippine consumer law that cannot be waived.
7.5 Store credit
Store credit is issued only by the Venue, in the cases described in section 11. Its amount is shown in the email we send when it is issued.
Credit belongs to your account and does not expire. It can be used only at the front desk, toward a booking. If your credit covers only part of a booking, you pay the rest in the usual way.
Credit has no cash value: it cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for cash, sold or transferred to another account.
Your balance and its history are shown in your profile.
Unused credit is forfeited if your account is closed.
8. Rescheduling
8.1 How to reschedule
Reschedules are handled by our front desk. Contact us at +63 917 888 9603 or [email protected], or visit the front desk, with your booking reference.
Your request must reach us at least 72 hours before the session starts.
A reschedule is subject to availability. We cannot guarantee that a specific court or time will be free.
8.2 Rules
A reschedule moves one session at a time, to one continuous block of hours on one court. A booking with several sessions is rescheduled session by session.
The new date must be within 7 days of the original date.
Each session can be rescheduled once. A session that has already been rescheduled cannot be moved again.
These limits do not apply when we move a booking ourselves (section 11).
A session that has already started, been played, checked in, or marked as a no-show cannot be rescheduled.
8.3 Price differences
A rescheduled session is re-priced at the rates in effect at the time of the reschedule, at your account's current rate (for example, a trainer account that is no longer active pays the regular rate).
If the new price is higher, you pay the difference before the session is played.
If the new price is lower, we return the difference to you by GCash or bank transfer to an account in your name.
The booking fee is not charged again.
8.4 After a reschedule
We email you the updated booking details and an updated QR pass. Always use the latest QR pass we sent you.
9. Letting someone else use your booking (transfer)
You may let another person or group play under your booking by giving them your QR pass (from Battle Records or your confirmation email). The QR pass is what the front desk and the live scoring use; whoever holds it can use the session.
Before the session starts, you must tell the front desk the name of the person who will use your booking.
The Booker stays responsible for the booking: for the conduct of everyone who plays under it, for any damage (section 14.3), and for any balance still owed.
Any private arrangement between you and the person you transfer to — including any payment between you — is solely between you. Duelo is not a party to it and will not refund, mediate or guarantee it.
You may not sell your booking; you may only give it to someone else free of charge.
10. Arrival, late arrival and no-shows
10.1 Late arrival
Your session ends at its scheduled end time, even if you arrive late. Lost time is not extended, credited or refunded, because the court is usually booked by someone else right after you.
If you will be late, please let the front desk know.
10.2 Check-in
Check in at the front desk before playing by showing your QR pass.
10.3 No-shows
If no one from your booking checks in at any time during the session, the session is marked as a no-show. The court stays reserved for you until the session ends; it is not given to anyone else. A no-show is not refunded and cannot be rescheduled.
10.4 Early arrival and finishing on time
You may enter the court only at your session's start time; please wait in the waiting area until then.
Leave the court as soon as your session ends so the next group can start on time. Staff will ask a group that stays past its session to leave.
11. When the Venue cancels or interrupts a booking
11.1 Cancellations by the Venue
We may need to cancel or move a booking because of, for example, court maintenance or repairs, a power or water interruption, unsafe conditions (such as a wet or damaged court floor), a Venue closure, or a government order. If we do:
we will tell you as early as we can, by email and, where possible, by phone or text;
you may choose a free reschedule to an available time, or credit for a future booking equal to the amount you paid for the affected session (section 7.5);
the cancellation reason we give is sent to you in our email.
11.2 Interruptions during play
If your session is interrupted after it has started for a reason on our side (for example a power outage), you may choose a refund or a credit for a future booking for the hours not played, at the rate you paid.
11.3 Events beyond anyone's control
If the Venue must close because of a typhoon, earthquake, flood, fire, government-declared emergency or similar event beyond our reasonable control, you may choose a free reschedule or credit for a future booking equal to the amount you paid for the affected session. We are not liable for any other loss, such as travel costs, caused by such an event.
11.4 Bookings on dates closed later
If the Venue closes a date after you have already booked it, the front desk will contact you, and section 11.1 applies.
12. Your QR pass
Each paid session has a QR pass. It is shown in Battle Records and in your confirmation email, and only appears once the booking is paid.
The QR pass is also the link to the live scoring for that session: anyone holding it can open the scorer for that court and keep score. Treat it like a ticket — share it only with people you want to use your booking.
If you think your QR pass has been shared with someone it should not have been, contact the front desk.
13. Court and facility rules
These rules keep the courts safe and in good condition. The front desk may refuse entry to, or ask to leave, anyone who does not follow them.
13.1 On the court
Non-marking indoor court shoes are required. Street shoes, running shoes with black or marking soles, and bare feet or socks only are not allowed on the court.
Wear suitable sportswear.
Bring your own rackets and shuttlecocks. Rackets and shuttlecocks are not rented or sold at the Venue.
At most 4 players may be on one court at a time.
Do not hang on, sit on, or move the nets and posts. Do not move court equipment without staff permission.
Stay within your own court during your session, and wait outside the court until your session starts.
13.2 In the Venue
No smoking or vaping anywhere in the Venue.
No alcohol, and no entry for anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed; refreshments are sold at the Venue.
Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Spectators must stay in the designated areas and must not enter the courts.
No pets, except service animals.
Keep noise at a level that does not disturb other players, and do not play amplified music.
Do not bring weapons, glass containers or any dangerous item into the Venue.
Dispose of your trash properly and leave the court as you found it.
Free parking is available for customers on a first-come basis; we are not responsible for vehicles or their contents.
Follow the instructions of Venue staff at all times.
13.3 Trainers and coaching
Coaching sessions must take place within courts booked for that purpose. A coach who is not an approved Duelo trainer may coach only on a court booked by their group, and does not receive the trainer rate.
A trainer is responsible for the conduct and safety of the students they bring, and for making sure every student (or the student's parent or guardian) is aware of these Booking Terms.
The trainer rate is available only to trainer accounts approved by the Venue, and only while the account remains active.
13.4 Photos and video
You may take photos and videos of your own Group for personal use. Do not photograph or record other players without their consent. Commercial photography or filming requires the Venue's prior written permission. The Venue is monitored by CCTV for safety and security, as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Conduct, removal and damage
14.1 Expected conduct
Treat other players, spectators and staff with respect. Harassment, threats, violence, abusive or discriminatory language, gambling, and any illegal activity are not allowed.
14.2 Removal
We may refuse entry to, or remove from the Venue, anyone who breaks these rules, endangers others, or damages property. A booking ended because of a rule violation is not refunded, and we may suspend the account involved and refuse future bookings (see the Terms of Service).
14.3 Damage
The Booker is responsible for damage to the courts, nets, equipment or facilities caused by them or their Group, beyond normal wear and tear, and agrees to pay the reasonable cost of repair or replacement. Report any damage or broken equipment to the front desk immediately.
15. Assumption of risk and liability
15.1 Risks of the sport
Badminton is a fast, physical sport. Playing or being on or near a court carries a risk of injury, including sprains, strains, muscle and ligament injuries, fractures, falls, collisions with other players, and eye injuries from a shuttlecock or racket, and — rarely — serious injury or medical events such as heart problems.
By booking, playing, or bringing others to the Venue, you confirm that:
you understand these risks and voluntarily accept them for yourself, and the Booker accepts them for their Group;
you are, to the best of your knowledge, physically fit to play, and will not play while ill, injured, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
you will warm up properly, use suitable footwear and equipment, play within your ability, and follow the court rules and staff instructions;
you will stop playing and tell the front desk straight away if you or anyone else is hurt or feels unwell, or if you notice a hazard such as a wet floor.
15.2 First aid
A first-aid kit is available at the front desk. First aid at the Venue is not a substitute for professional medical care.
15.3 Personal belongings
You are responsible for your personal belongings. We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to items brought into the Venue, except where caused by our negligence. Items left behind are kept at the front desk for 30 days and may then be disposed of or donated.
15.4 Our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Duelo, the Venue, and their staff are not liable for injury, illness, loss or damage arising from your use of the Venue or participation in play, except where caused by our negligence, wilful misconduct or fraud, or where the law does not allow liability to be excluded. Where we are liable for a booking-related loss, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the booking concerned, except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing in these Booking Terms limits any right you have under Philippine law that cannot be waived or excluded by agreement.
16. Front-desk bookings
Walk-in and phone bookings are made by our front-desk staff, who will make you aware of these Booking Terms before the booking is completed; the booking is subject to them in the same way as an online booking.
Front-desk bookings carry no online booking fee.
If you give us an email address, we send you the booking confirmation, receipts and QR pass by email. Without an email address you will not receive these emails; please keep the reference the front desk gives you.
17. Changes to these Booking Terms
We may update these Booking Terms from time to time, for example when our services or the law change. The updated version is published on this page with its effective date. A booking is governed by the version you accepted when you made it. When we make a significant change, we will ask you to review and accept the new version before your next booking.
